Defense products are used in the cryogenic cooling systems for thermal imaging, night vision and infrared cameras and components for smart missile systems used on submarines.
Markets
We are selling to OEMs, prime contractors and Tier 1 suppliers. All of the parts we manufacture are per PO and specific to our customers. Our largest customers are FLIR Systems (both defense and commercial), Triumph Engine Control Systems, and Zygo Corporation.
Careers/Job Opportunities
Currently, we are not actively seeking to hire, because we added six new positions in 2018. That is expected to change in 2019. When we are hiring, we are looking for CNC operators and machinists, inspectors, all-around machinists, and tool makers. We also employ programmers, process engineers and estimators, shipping & receiving, accounting assistant, and administrative assistant. For the technical positions, we generally require completion of a Manufacturing Program at a vocational or technical school, or completed training through the MassHire Adult Education Programs in Advanced Manufacturing. However, if someone is good with their hands, and has a certain mechanical aptitude, we are always open to providing the training required in order to succeed in the technical positions within our company.
